V Capaldi, aka PaleoBOSS Lady, is nothing short of a miracle. Her story brings hope where there is despair, joy where there is pain, and future where there is hopelessness. Her life is an example of what can happen when you take full responsibility for the hardships (and blessings) that you’ve been given. Her story is not magic, or a miracle, really — it’s the story of someone who never gave up, was receptive to new concepts and ideas, and willing to take action.

V Capaldi PaleoBOSS LadyV was young when she was first diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). For years, she lived with the disease while it slowly degraded her quality of life and her ability to take care of herself. At one point, she relocated across the country to Venice, California with the hopes that the weather would bring an improvement in her quality of life, even as her condition worsened. By 2008, she had no use of her arms or hands.

One day while in physical therapy, her therapist suggested she go gluten free. Almost immediately upon making this dietary change, the jumping and twitching in V’s legs stopped. Soon thereafter, while lying in bed in tremendous pain, at one of the lowest points of her life, she stumbled upon Dr. Terry Wahls’ TED Talk. With nothing to lose (and everything to gain), she listened, took Dr. Wahl’s recommendations to heart, and took action — changing her life forever.

Hear the rest of V’s incredible story by tuning into the podcast. Trust me, it’s amazing and inspiring!
