Welcome to our six-part breathing technique series. Each of these videos is only two to three minutes in length. In each, we share a simple, but powerful breathing exercise. By bringing an awareness to your breathing, you can take charge of your body, energy, and life.

Using Breath Work to Cool Down Your Mind

This final breath in our series is one of my favorites. It’s called “cooling breath” and it’s great if you need to cool down your mind. If you feel overwhelmed with anger, negativity, or pressure, then this breathing technique is for you.

This breath looks a little funny, I’ll warn you. It also involves rolling your tongue, which some of you may have difficulty doing. If that includes you, just work on making your mouth into an “O” and that will function just as well.

The best time to do this breathing technique is right before sleep. If you are stressed out with thoughts before bed or you’re someone who suffers from insomnia, try this breath work to see the difference it can make.
