Welcome to our six-part breathing technique series. Each of these videos is only two to three minutes in length. In each, we share a simple, but powerful breathing exercise. By bringing an awareness to your breathing, you can take charge of your body, energy, and life.

Using Breath Work to Balance Left and Right Brain

This breath is meant to help us balance our left and right brain. We’ll start by closing our right nostril so we can do “breath of fire” just through the left nostril. Then, we’ll switch to breathing through only our right nostril.

You may discover that it’s easier to breathe through one nostril compared to the other. This is completely normal. Just make a mental note of any imbalances you discover. The more you practice this technique, the more balance you will develop and the easier this breath work will become.
