Welcome to my living room workout series! Each week, I share a workout from my personal exercise routine — and then do it in real time so you can follow along. These workouts are optional and are simply one of the many ways you can accomplish your daily exercise.

Living Room Workout 30

This week’s workout is an EMOM, which stands for “every minute on the minute.” That means at the start of each minute we’re going to do a set of exercises as quickly as we can (but still with good, safe form).

EMOM 10 minutes:

  1. 10 push-ups
  2. 10 bird pickers
  3. 10 squats

The goal on every round is to be done in under 40 seconds. If that sounds too challenging (or just not possible), then lower your number of reps. For example, do 8 push-ups, 8 bird pickers, and 8 squats. Do whatever you need to do to make sure you get around 20 seconds of rest each round.

Conversely, if you’re feeling fierce, feel free to dial this one up to 11.

Note: make sure to double-check your space so you don’t kick anything during your bird pickers.

Watch the video, and I’ll explain each movement plus how to scale them to your fitness and ability level. And, no matter what level you are right now, this workout probably sounds pretty simple, but trust me — that doesn’t mean it’s easy.
