Beginner Yin Yoga Follow-Along with Brett Larkin

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Welcome to this six-week series brought to you exclusively by Whole Life Challenge in partnership with Brett Larkin. Each week, Brett will guide you in an exploration of a different style of yoga.

These yoga practices are simply one of the many ways you can accomplish your daily mobility, and are intended to help you explore both your body’s potential and the world of movement.

Beginner Yin Yoga Follow-Along with Brett Larkin

In Yin yoga, we’ll be working with the connective tissue and ligaments that surround your joints — areas not normally nourished in more active styles of exercise.

This thirty-minute Yin yoga stretch is the perfect complement to cardio, weight lifting, or HIIT workouts. Do it once or twice a week and watch your flexibility increase, while not overly taxing your body.

Yin yoga is the ultimate style of yoga for cross-training or to replenish the body and mind after stress or an injury. So, dim the lights and get ready to relax, stretch, and breath deeply.

Optional Props:

  • Yoga mat
  • 2 yoga blocks
