Welcome to my living room workout series! Each week, I share a workout from my personal exercise routine — and then do it in real time so you can follow along. These workouts are optional and are simply one of the many ways you can accomplish your daily exercise.

Living Room Workout 39

This week’s workout is super simple — I’m even doing it while wearing my “business” clothes. The point of this workout isn’t to go as hard as possible, but just to get your daily exercise and feel good (physically and mentally). It won’t be the hardest workout you’ve ever done, but we really shouldn’t do the hardest-workout-ever on every single day, right?

The workout format goes like this:

  • Minute 1: 20 push-ups, rest for any time not needed for push-ups
  • Minute 2: 20 squats, rest for any time not needed for squats

We’ll continue that for 10 minutes. So, by the time you’re done, you’ll have done 100 push-ups and 100 squats.

Remember, you can modify your push-ups and squats to meet your needs — either by making them harder or scaling them down. There’s no “wrong” way if you’re moving safely and feeling the benefits of the movements.
