Welcome to this six-week series brought to you exclusively by Whole Life Challenge in partnership with YogaVibes. These practices are simply one of the many ways you can accomplish your daily mobility, and are intended to help you explore both your body’s potential and the world of movement.

What better yoga sequence could there be for Valentine’s Day than a “heart opening” practice? This week YogaVibes is going to help us chill out with the guidance of Gigi Yogini.

Restorative yoga is all about finding deep relaxation and settling your nervous system. In this class, you’ll practice gentle heart opening that will stretch the muscles in the front of the body. As a bonus, this will help expand lung capacity so you can breathe more deeply and easily. This practice gives you lots of options, so listen to your body as you move along.

Equipment Needed:

  • Yoga mat (optional)
  • Block (use a book if you don’t have a yoga block)
  • Blanket (or a towel)
  • Bolster (a pillow will also work)
